For this session, we will discuss ways to increase student engagement during virtual instructions. Without student-to-student and student-to-instructor interactions and, with being home surrounded by personal distractions, motivating students to learn virtually is difficult. Additionally, student participation during online learning can be a more passive form of learning as opposed to actively engaging the students in the learning process.

We will discuss and develop ways to overcome these obstacles. The success of this meeting will depend upon the participants actively sharing strategies that worked and those methods that were not as successful as they experimented with online instruction during the past months. So, please bring ideas to share with the group.

To help organize the evening, please send your plans for presentation to John Valente at jvalente@ctemc.org.
